➣ I need a redelivery!
Please visit our mainstore and click the sign on the front of Basil's desk to visit your redelivery page.

➣ I bought a gift for a friend, why isn't it on my redelivery page?
When purchasing items as gifts, the person you bought it for will need to visit the mainstore and click Basil's desk in order to request a redelivery. This is due to the fact that the item is registered in the Casper system as belonging to them, not to the buyer. The buyer will not see the gifted item on their redelivery page.

➣ I did not receive my purchase.
If anything needs to be re-sent that the redelivery terminal cannot address, please provide a notecard with the transaction history of your purchase to Walton Wainwright.

➣ I would like a refund!
Everything in our store (except scripts) are modify and copy unless stated otherwise. Because of this, refunds for our items are not possible unless it is a transaction error such as duplicate purchases. Please be reasonable and purchase wisely; we urge you to read our notes about the item on the vendor.

➣ Where can I find pants to match your tops?

➣ Where did ___ come from in this vendor image/blog post/Flickr image?
We are not answering questions regarding what our models wear. Most of the time we don't know, and we don't want to bother our models. These questions will be ignored by CSR staff; try asking in the store group for suggestions.

➣ Can I get a copy/no transfer version of my gacha item?
Please send a notecard detailing your request to Walton Wainwright and he can arrange a trade of your transferable 'no copy' items for 'no transfer' versions. Please understand we may be hit with many requests at once and/or be busy with other projects. This sort of request may take time to address and will be handled as time permits.

➣ Where are all your gachas?
Unfortunately, we are no longer selling gacha in compliance with rules set by Linden Labs. The sets we have returned to the main store will be found as modify and copiable 'Full Packs' with a single price.For details regarding this policy change, please click this link for more details.We are aware that we have more gacha sets that have never returned since their release at the events they were made for, and those will remain discontinued indefinitely. ➣ I have a question about mesh eyes that have you listed as the creator.
The eyes you have bought were likely made by another creator who used our free fullperm mesh eyes located here. This means we cannot offer customer support for them since they were not sold by us. You will need to contact the person you bought them from. Our only eye products are the T-S45 cyber eyes and the Golden Eye.

➣ Do you offer fatpacks?
Any of our products with *???* in the title are base colour packs with options controlled via HUD. Any additional thematic version of the sets will be sold as a low priced add-on separately.

➣ My body seems to be clipping through my clothing. Can you fix it?
It is normal to use your body brand's alpha HUD or wear BOM alphas to hide your body beneath clothes. This is a professional standard mechanic used in both Second Life and the gaming industry.

➣ Why don't you use automatic alpha scripts in your products?
We at [ContraptioN] value combining efficiency with visual quality. We wish to ensure our products cause as little lag as possible for a simulator, and perform at their very best on the grid. To that end, we refuse to bloat our products with third party scripts we can not monitor.We put in effort retopologising our work, hire the most efficient scripters we can find, and test it all with years of knowledge in efficient content creation. We would toss all that effort away by putting in inefficient and unmonitored third party scripts into our products.

➣ Why don't you put in resize scripts?
All of our unrigged products have strategic separation, which means that we've separated the parts according to the easiest and most precise method for fitting. We will only put in resize scripts if it's absolutely necessary, such as synchronized scaling for a sheathed and held weapon so they match.When you resize without a script, it's faster, precise, intuitive and less frustrating. Try it out, and you'll see what we mean!

➣ What HUD system do you use?
After many requests, we've worked with and allowed Exobyte to create a user friendlier version of the texture hud system we've been using for sale. You can find it at their marketplace.

➣ I have reattached my HUD to a different point away from the default, and I can't see the HUD anymore?
We advise that you DO NOT (unless you know what you are doing) put ANY HUD on any other HUD attachment point except for the default position. This is because every HUD attachment point has a different center and rotation point, making HUDs seemingly disappear, and you will inevitably break the positioning, which will then require you to get a new copy.If HUDs are overlapping, just right click and move it elsewhere on your screen.

➣ Customer Service Inquiries
For help, please send a message to MinistrySecretary Resident to submit a support ticket. Please do not send him items or notecards, he can't read these because he is a bot (if you are referred to Walton Wainwright, he will contact you when he is able. Feel free to remind him if he has taken a while to reply).

➣ Conduct
Respect those involved with our store. Rude demands grant no rewards.

➣ Pricing
Prices are non-negotiable.

➣ Product Permissions & Refunds
Everything in our store (except scripts and gift editions of clothing products) are modify and copy unless stated otherwise. Because of this, refunds for our items are not possible unless it is a transaction error such as duplicate purchases. Please be reasonable and purchase wisely; we urge you to read our notes about the item on the vendor.

➣ Product Demos
DEMOS are provided for all rigged mesh items in order to test product fit with your avatar, always try a DEMO. We do not provide refunds due to displeasure with fitting when a DEMO is provided. All vendor images are untouched where our products are concerned.

➣ Mesh Body Compatibility
All mesh bodies and heads in Second Life are third party. This means is that it is created and controlled by a content creator who is in no way associated with all other stores that make content for said body. A third party mesh body or head can change at any time, thus, breaking all other creators' items with it.We will try our best to keep our items updated, however, the labour is extensive for little to no return and these changes can sometimes permanently break an item's workflow, which requires a remake from scratch. There is no guarantee that we will be able to update an item to fit a body's latest version if the changes are catastrophic.

➣ Styling Information
We are not answering questions regarding what our models wear. Most of the time we don't know, and we don't want to bother our models. These questions will be ignored by CSR staff; try asking in the store group for suggestions.

➣ Retired/Limited Products
We do not grant/privately sell retired gifts, hunt prizes, or limited edition products regardless of if you missed the opportunity.

➣ Texture Modification
Personal-use texture modding is fine.

➣ Donation Item Updates
Manual update requests on charity items are accepted. Please send an IM with your request to MinistrySecretary Resident for guidance from our staff.

➣ Event Invitations
We will consider themed or instore events, hunts, and special events with storyline and interactivity. Besides this, we are trying to take no more than 4 events per month. Please leave all event information with Walton Wainwright via notecard inworld.

➣ Custom orders/Commissions
We do not have the time for custom texture or mesh commissions of any kind, however, suggestions are always welcome (we will refuse to recreate and sell designs based on existing media. We do not profit off of other artists' concepts.).

➣ Creator Crediting
We take pride in our own work, thus, all credits under 'creator' name remain accurate to the original creator of the asset sold under our brand.

➣ Music
All music used in our products are original compositions created by Eckenfeld and directed by Walton Wainwright.

About Us

Founded on August 12th, 2011 by Walton Wainwright (formerly Faust.Steamer), Contraption is a store in Second Life catering to roleplay fashion and decoration involving science fiction and alternate history. It is a passion project, a hobby, and a creative outlet for the artists behind it. Each item released carries a bit of the artists' personalities and thoughts within.Contraption is a small store with content created by the proprietor and his friends. All works are not outsourced and are made with personal purpose in mind. It is currently owned by Walton Wainwright who leads art direction and 3D modeling and Victor Eton (Western Wanderer) who acts as a co-owner and secondary 3D artist.
